The Best of the Best
Pro gamers are a different breed of human beings; the kind that need the best equipment to ensure their talents aren’t held back. Most of you, like me, aren’t that kind of gamer. Are you good? Of course you are! Do you top leaderboards? Of course you do… those highlight reels don’t make themselves!
Do you need the best of the best because there’s nothing you could physically or mentally improve to enhance your performance… yeah, the reality truck hits hard.
So then, is this Logitech G Pro worth it for you?
The Rainbow Unicorn Typewriter
If you don’t know what it means when the Logitech G Pro keyboard’s features lists things like “Tenkeyless”, “GX Blue Clicky” and “Lightsync RGB”, then you’re not alone. What this all really means is that the keyboard has no num-pad for better portability, it has keys that make you feel like you’re punching a typewriter and it’s got cool RGB lights that let you customise how it looks.
This means that when you aren’t gaming, typing on keys that click and depress so deep can feel like quite a chore and also make quite a racket, especially if you’re used to something like a laptop keyboard.
Gamers On-The-Go
What does this all mean for you? Well, the Logitech G Pro keys are super responsive which is great for gaming, and the portability is obviously good for those jet-setters that need to attend tournaments here, there and everywhere.
The RBG stuff is mostly for style, but you can do some cool stuff with the Logitech app which includes programming keys and even setting/downloading some really cool RGB lighting themes.
For a really in-depth review of the hardware, check the full analysis and review over at Rtings.
It’s pretty expensive too, at a hefty $120 / R2000+ price point, so unless you really wanna splash out – the reality is that this keyboard isn’t going to do too much more than the thing you’ve got hooked up to your PC right now.
Verdict:
If you’re a gamer who is serious about performing well, and gets around quite often, the Logitech G Pro might be for you. If you’re spending your nights having fun with friends, deeply suppressing the knowledge that your equipment and the lag isn’t the real reason you aren’t that great, then it really isn’t going to help you – it’s just a keyboard, after all.
