The Amazing Spider-Man 2

What is it? After the events of The Amazing Spider-Man, Peter Parker continues to both enjoy and deal with his life of crime-fighting as Spider-Man. His relationship with Gwen Stacy finds itself in jeopardy and he finds himself facing new villains that are up to no good.

Andrew Garfield’s sarcastic and fun-loving Peter Parker is back along with witty, smart and good lookin’ girlfriend Gwen Stacy, played once again by the magnificent Emma Stone. Director Marc Webb and his team manage, once again, to find ways to really convey sincere characters in his new film, with Peter and Gwen being a dynamic on-screen duo and every bit as important as the web-slinging hero.

When a socially awkward fan (Jamie Foxx) gets a little supercharged, the villain ‘Electro’ is born. At the same time, Peter’s old friend Harry (Dane DeHaan) is back in town and… well… and this is where the story can get a little overwhelming. If there’s any fault in this new Spider-Man, it’s that the film tries to squeeze a little too many characters, villains and plots into one film, leaving you a little overloaded at times.

The rest of the film however, swings its way into blockbuster glory as you are treated to some truly awe-inspiring Spider-Man moments… the sort that had me, for the first time ever, truly appreciating and respecting just how very amazing Spider-Man really is.
