UPDATE: Our review is now LIVE. Click here to check it out!
Seems like the answer is… NOPE. So, our review code of Forza 7 is making its way onto our system and we are looking forward to giving you the low-down on everything it might offer… or not. Reviews from around the world are starting to roll in however, and from the looks of things it seems like Turn 10 has hit a hell of a home run. We will have to wait and see for more review scores in the near future, but the few that are out are signing its praises. Check it out.
And credit to Metacritic for all the info in one handy place:
Windows Central 100/100“This is still the most complete racing game on Xbox. It’s got something for all abilities, enough content to keep you going for a long old time and it’s so stunning to look at it massages your eyeballs every time you play.”
SomosXbox 98/100“Turn10 Studios brings us what is undoubtedly the king of simulation. A light simulation, or “simcade” as many nickname it, but certainly an intermediate point that achieves the greatest of virtues, balancing in the balance the requirement of the simulators and the immediacy of the arcades, leaving to the consumer the configuration which you prefer as far as simulation is concerned.”
Attack of the Fanboy 90/100“Turn 10 turned in their biggest game in terms of tracks, cars, and features with Forza 7, and it very well may be their best one yet.”
Gamespot’s review that’s still in progress says “Even if you aren’t a racing sim purist, Forza 7 accommodates your desire to drive thanks to numerous accessibility settings. It goes well beyond enabling ABS and turning on the guiding line.” and Polygon also had this to say: “Racing games can be a tad simplistic. Accelerate, brake, turn. But that’s at the core of their appeal. It’s just driving and driving is fun, especially in a gorgeous car, on a famous track in some exotic location. Turn 10 has become highly proficient in taking this basic mechanic and turning it into a full on fantasy, of conquest, of acquisition, of personalization.”
Well, it’s looking pretty darn fantastic and let’s not forget that this isn’t even the enhanced X version. As a long time fan, colour me excited.
Keep your eyes peeled for our review in the near future.
