Hey 2026 is in full swing, so I’ve put together a rundown of February 2026 Game Releases and my top picks. It’s still early in the year, but there are already some notable titles just around the corner.

Below is a quick run through the highlights, with my top pick saved for the end.

Nioh 3 (PS5) – February 6

Nioh 3 is the third game in the Nioh series of action RPGs, which sit somewhere between samurai action games and Souls-like experiences. It’s developed by Team Ninja, the studio behind Ninja Gaiden and Rise of the Ronin. If you’re already a fan of Nioh, this one is likely firmly on your radar. Nioh 3 launches on PC and PS5 on February 6.

Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined – February 5

Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined is an interesting JRPG release. Despite the original 2000 PlayStation version already receiving a full remake on the 3DS, this is a further full-blown reimagining built from the ground up. It even features at least one character who looks like he belongs in Team America. If you’re into JRPGs or the Dragon Quest series in general, this is one to keep an eye on. It releases on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, Switch 2, and PC on February 5.

Mario Tennis Fever (Switch 2) – February 12

If you’ve picked up a Switch 2, you might be feeling a little starved for brand-new Nintendo exclusives. Mario Tennis Fever is exactly what it sounds like, and whether it’s worth picking up remains to be seen. It launches exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2 on February 12.

High on Life 2 (PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC) – February 13

High on Life 2 is the sequel to the chaotic first-person shooter originally created by the studio linked to Rick and Morty’s co-creator. The developers are promising something bigger, better, and funnier. It’s shaping up to be a lot of fun, but as always, final impressions will depend on reviews closer to launch. It arrives on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on February 13.

Reanimal (PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, PC) – February 13

Reanimal is a side-scrolling horror adventure from the original developers of Little Nightmares 1 and 2. It can be played solo or in co-op, with both local and online multiplayer available. It’s looking seriously creepy and is easily one of my most anticipated games this month. It releases on PC, PS5, Switch 2, and Xbox Series X and S on February 13, just in time for a very unconventional Valentine’s Day co-op session.

Top Pick for February: Resident Evil Requiem – February 27

Resident Evil Requiem, also known as Resident Evil 9, is shaping up to be something special. Leon S. Kennedy is back, and the game is looking fantastic, with stunning visuals and a return to Raccoon City that has me counting the days. This time around, you’ll control two protagonists. FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft handles the scarier sections, while Leon takes over for the more action-heavy moments, complete with his trademark roundhouse kicks and cheesy one-liners.

You’ll also be able to switch between first-person and third-person perspectives, which might be a relief for anyone still traumatised by Resident Evil 7. The dual approach mixes classic survival horror with the more action-driven style seen in Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5. We’ll politely ignore Resident Evil 6. Whether this balance works remains to be seen, but I can’t wait to find out when Resident Evil Requiem launches on February 27 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC.
