DVD | Doctor Strange Review
Pennyworth Review: “Marvel continues their do-no-wrong streak and this time have added not only a new character, but a whole new dimension to the world of The Avengers, and we just can’t wait to see what comes next. It might not top the list of the best Marvel films of all time, but it can proudly stand alongside the existing library.” – Read the full film review here.
“Mr. Doctor” really twisted our eyeballs when we watched it at the IMAX and boy oh boy were those crazy big twisty Inception-like sequences just a site to behold. The movie – if you didn’t know – is not only a great adventure, but it’s fun and funny too. Just another Tuesday for Marvel then, as they knock another one out the park.
We received a DVD copy for review, and unfortunately – probably as a limitation of the format – it comes with no additional special features, which is a real shame and only leaves you with with the straight-up film to justify the purchase. Marvel movies really are all about spectacle, and when it comes to spectacle you really need to go Blu-Ray (or higher these days) to really appreciate the incredible visuals on screen, so the DVD is a bit of a bummer, and I’d really recommend that you rather opt for the Blu-Ray version if possible.
Hey, at least the film’s still a blast even if it’s not quite as spectacular in standard definition.
