Assassin’s Creed Mirage Video Review (PC, Xbox Series X/S, PS5 Review)
Assassin’s Creed Mirage takes place nine centuries after the Assassin’s Creed Origins and, right before the Viking shenanigans of Valhalla, and in it unfolds a whole new story around a whole new Assassin, back when they were still known as the Hidden Ones.
Welcome to Baghdad, where we meet Basim, a street thief turned Assassin. As you venture through Baghdad, the city comes alive, reacting to your choices. The city is bustling, but the AI is not that great.

As this game takes us back a bit to the origins of the Assassins, we once again get to feel that hardcore Assassin vibe with the signature robes, hidden blade, and all the cool gadgets – throwing knives, smoke bombs, and traps. Stealth is back in a big way. Sneak through some missions or fail, no busting in and knocking out everyone with an axe this time.
You’ll be parkouring through this world with the same style and energy as seen Valhalla. Jump, climb, and conquer the heights of Baghdad, which is beautifully brought to life.. Enjoy eagle vision and somewhat challenging combat this time around as well.
In terms of story, you can follow the main path, or dive into side quests; either way, you’re in for an adventure. Just a heads-up, though – if you stick to the main story as is, it might feel a tad linear as Basim and co follow narrative driven story arcs, and not much can change besides the order in which you complete each arc.
Verdict (In-Progress): Assassin’s Creed Mirage seems like it will keep many a fan entertained, and with a day one patch on the way, including some online content, I can’t wait to see how it turns out.
